Pip is a fearless leader, who as UK CEO, has successfully brought two well renowned agencies together to build a new, future-facing powerhouse - Wunderman Thompson. Pip's laser focus on driving value for clients has seen the agency invest in new capabilities, products and services, integrating digital agency Mirum and data consulting Acceleration into the fold. Bringing people closer together is one of Pip's greatest skills. A skill needed more than ever in 2020. Despite people being physically further apart, Pip brought teams closer together, placing a focus on wellbeing, L&D and IE&D. This year WT hosted 104 virtual wellbeing sessions, launched a Strava cycling group, increased 1:1 resilience sessions by 50%, partnered with Headspace and trained 28 new mental health first aiders. Reinvesting the awards budget into people, WT developed a new L&D portal holding 100s of training modules and weekly lessons. Supercharging plans to build an inclusive workforce Pip launched and chairs an Inclusion Council resulting in an uptake in Employee Resource Groups with 64 new members championing IE&D in every guise from ethnicity to sexual orientation to families. With teams connected, motivated and engaged, client satisfaction rose to its highest, growing Centrica (140%), Duracell (23%), Bose (35%), Purina (17%) and Microsoft (9%). Despite pitches across the industry dropping 24%, Pip's growth mindset didn't waiver and WT welcomed 10 new clients including Ingka Centres, FIFA, Hastings Direct and Sage. In a tough year, Pip led the charge ensuring Wunderman Thompson comes out of 2020 stronger than ever.
