I believe I should be considered as 'Rising to the Top' on Campaign's Influential Women list due to my tenacity to progress, and my determination to support those around me.
Having started in the advertising industry just over 4 years ago, I have moved through the business, successfully navigating the (often political) atmosphere to be asked to apply for the role of Chief of Staff to the Global Chief Marketing Officer, Justin Billingsley. In 2019, I was nominated onto the Next Generation Board, a group of young talent identified as "future leaders" to be voices of the agencies and liaise with the Executive Committee. We proposed and then successfully implemented flexible working across the UK business, starting with media, and then adopted by Groupe.
I am heavily involved with the Learning and Development team, offering mentoring, coaching and training to new joiners and junior talent, and reverse mentoring to a member of the ExCo. My focus is to help women progress in their careers, with a keen interest in ensuring we have a diverse, and neuro-diverse, business. Earlier this year, I was fortunate enough to be matched with an incredible mentor via Bloom. Through the mentee network, I have started a book club for business books, having regular discussions with likeminded women is helping me develop the skills I will need to be a leader. If I am selected, I would love to start a similar discussion group with my fellow Influential Women.
