Alongside her pivotal role in the British Airways Team Horizon, Ashleigh is the Chair of Ogilvy Roots - an inter-company network devoted to championing greater ethnic and cultural diversity within the advertising industry, Ogilvy and the work produced. She believes in the power of authentic representation, narration and celebration of minorities to educate and normalise differences between those comprised in our society.
Ashleigh has worked with publications such as ComplexdWoman and Women’s Running magazine, supporting and celebrating difference, and has carried this energy into her role within the network.
Over her 14 months as Chair of the network, Ogilvy Roots has put on 10 educational events, panel discussions and workshops, in addition to working with 11 external companies from BAME backgrounds, as well as three WPP sister agencies supporting and promoting BAME businesses, brands and talent, furthering authentic and increased representation within the industry. During the height of the pandemic when the global Black Lives Matter movement swept the UK, Ashleigh co-led the Roots team in providing support and resources for staff. She led her team to run internal workshops and deliver a four-part internal anti-racist campaign within Ogilvy which has led to a review of policies.
Roots partnered with Black Pound Day to deliver a campaign that amplifies black businesses in order to increase economic wealth, helping to raise over £100,000 being for Black owned businesses.
Her energy, ambition and pioneering spirit make her a true asset to Ogilvy, and a woman who is destined to rise to the top.
