Mélanie is a true champion of change, both within her company and her industry.
Having a multicultural upbringing in countries like Taiwan, Brazil, Cameroon, France and Spain, it was only natural that Mélanie would build a career on her passion for cultures and languages and dedicate her life’s mission to driving change in the global marcomms industry.
After several years in transcreation, Mélanie founded Creative Culture in 2008 with the ambition to change the way we look at cultures. Through understanding cultures at the early stages of conceptualisation, Creative Culture creates efficiencies, ensures meaningful messages are conveyed across cultures and increases compliance within local markets - an innovative recipe for a win-win scenario both globally and locally. Mélanie has spent the last 15 years concocting bespoke approaches to marketing, rooted in harnessing human intelligence, diversity and inclusion.
Embracing the widest diversity of experience, opinion, aspirations and values is how Mélanie creates a fully inclusive and collaborative environment within her and her clients’ organisations. She proudly leads a women-owned business certified by WEConnect International through which she contributes to the professional development of her nearly exclusively female team from multiple cultural backgrounds, providing clients with customised programmes to support ethnic and cultural diversity.
In addition to her industry body participation and client focus, Mélanie is also developing an internal D&I and CSR programme for 2021, which will involve mentoring women from refugee backgrounds who come to the UK and supporting their integration into society.
