Lisa Cousins, Strategy Director at Huge London, has had a significant impact on the agency’s business and culture since taking on the role in March 2019.
She has developed new business models for iconic brands including Wizarding World Digital (WWD) – the digital heart of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts (a Warner Brothers/Pottermore joint venture), which aims to create the world’s best connected fan experience. Lisa helped define WWD’s experience, proposition and business plan along with a roadmap for WWD and Huge to jointly create the Harry Potter Fan Club’s paid-for Gold and free Silver membership propositions; the official Wizarding World app; wizardingworld.com; and Wizarding Passport single sign-in.
She has also defined new approaches and ways of working – which included effectively leading remote teams during the pandemic – using an insight-driven agile approach to rapidly enable clients to better serve their customers and grow revenue. And she has brought new clients into the business, including Value Retail; International Workplace Group; a leading research and advisory business; and a fast-growing athletic apparel brand.
Within the agency, she has transformed Huge’s women’s affinity group into a truly global, inclusive, active organisation. This involved turning fragmented local programming initiatives into to local-led global programmes – empowering local leaders and achieving global impact; defining programming pillars to create more impactful conversations; and rebranding from Huge x Women to Huge Womxn to be more inclusive. The only woman and non-data practitioner on the BIMA Data Council member, Lisa is also working hard to make data literacy more inclusive.
