An un-faltering voice in regards to representation, diversity and progress, Kim has worked tirelessly in these areas for decades.
Listed as a Yahoo! Finance’s ‘HEROEs Future Women Leaders’ in 2020 in recognition of making a significant contribution to gender diversity in the workplace, Kim built on this as a member and mentor of the Bloom network, an organisation championing the real voices of women, to relaunch and produce their podcast, the first one focussing on ‘Tackling Racism in the Workplace.’
A founding member of ‘Kindfest 2020’ the world’s first virtual kindness festival, Kim volunteered her time to create from scratch the ‘Youth Tent’ – curating sessions on subjects of politics, sport, business, education and mental health in the midst of the global pandemic. Raising thousands of pounds for charity.
Alongside this Kim’s work as a mentor, commissioner and producer saw her awarded the Women of the Future Award in 2018; she has since gone on to judge their awards in the UK and South East Asia, interview inspiring alumni on their podcast, as well as partaking in an extraordinary ambassadorial trip to Cambodia in March 2020, including round-tables with NGOs, the government and UN on efforts being made to combat human-trafficking.
Kim is also a board member for ‘In Place of War’ – a global organisation that uses creativity in places of conflict as a tool for positive change. Enabling grassroots change-makers in music, theatre and across the arts to transform a culture of violence and suffering into hope, opportunity and freedom.
