When she first joined Heathrow, Jo had overall responsbility for the media, filming and PR teams at Heathrow. This included consumer brand building, oversight of the airport's ITV documentary, crisis communications and the airport's third runway campaign. Now Jo holds the Deputy Director role which oversees setting the strategic direction for communications across all channels including external affairs, policy, internal, digital and media. Since her time at the airport, Jo's role and the business have completely changed in the wake of COVID. Going from a business poised to build a new runway to one that now needs to repair the damage from the disease, Jo and the team's focus will be anchored around trust in travel and the airport, and in a world with COVID-19 in it. Heathrow communications team won last year's Best In-House team at 2019 PR Week Awards.
