Xi is an account director at VCCP and moved onto the Virgin Media O2 team this year to help launch Volt - a fully integrated campaign for Virgin Media O2’s first joint proposition. She was instrumental in navigating the coming together of two superbrands and the inevitable challenges that come with such a task.
Xi has also been an influential part of the agency in helping to foster a culture of diversity and inclusion. She has taken over the running of Ad School (VCCP’s work experience programme) and is joint head of the D&I Collective (maternity cover). She helps to lead a team of 14 dedicated to driving tangible change both within VCCP and in the wider industry. This year alone, she and the team have introduced 21 D&I initiatives and helped to organise 92 training sessions and D&I talks.
In January, Xi wrote an illuminating, personal piece for Campaign that shone a light on the lack of East and South East Asian representation in advertising and media. She has been an influential, young role model at VCCP and we can’t wait to see how she’ll continue to champion change for her clients, the agency, and the wider industry. Julian Douglas (IPA President, VCCP Vice-Chairman & International CEO) said: “Xi is already a superstar. A powerhouse who is breaking new ground for O2 and a champion of diversity and inclusion, leading the brilliant D&I Collective. Xi is exactly the sort of individual that gives me great optimism for the future of our industry and we are lucky to have her at VCCP.
