Rowena is Chief Product Officer at Starcount, a leading London data science consultancy that builds cutting-edge data solutions for UK and global clients such as Marks & Spencer, Jaguar Land Rover and Holland & Barrett.
Rowena has a passion for problem-solving through data-driven decision making and has been a part of Starcount since its inception in 2013. She rapidly accelerated her career building out Starcount’s data capability and spearheading the development of its market-leading IP whilst working with global CPGs such as Unilever, culminating in her assuming her current role as CPO on the management board of Starcount within 5 years.
Today she leads a large team of technical experts and oversees the development of her two crowning achievements; Starcount Observatory and Starcount Audiences which push the limits of both geolocation and social data. Her vision is to automate data-driven decision making, combined with new technologies to build an end to end activation solution for clients.
Rowena complements her own professional success by working to support and empower other women in the technology industry. Her workshop at the Women In Data UK 2018 conference entitled “Keeping it Fresh – being a female leader in the data world” received widespread acclaim for its inspiring and impactful message. She also has an active role as a director of the not-for-profit organisation The Female Lead.
