With 15+ years of experience, Rita is one of Wavemaker’s foremost ecommerce experts. She has worked with Tiffany, Ikea, LVMH, L'Oréal and Mondelez covering ecommerce strategies for all routes to market across Amazon, e-retail and DTC touchpoints. She is a sought-after speaker and has published her thoughts in The Grocer, Retail Gazette, PerformanceIN among others.

Rita is not only an amazingly talented professional, she is also dedicated to helping new generations into the media industry: Throughout 2021, Rita has run the We Speak mentoring at Wavemaker. The programme connected 24 sixth-formers from disadvantaged backgrounds with Wavemaker mentors, helping the youths express themselves, build confidence and understanding of what working in media means. Reversely, the programme supports Wavemaker own goal of recruiting talent from a diverse background. Rita said: “Not only is it a hugely rewarding experience where in a very short period of time you can really help a young student grow - but it helps yourself flourish in equal measure...” Rita’s passion for passing it on has also been felt within WPP, where Rita connected students with mentors as part of the WPP NextGen Leaders to give learning, growth and professional development opportunities for early-career talent. Finally, her outstanding professional expertise has also been noticed here: Rita is one of the mentors of the WPP Ecommerce Academy, an internal programme seeking to upskill leaders in topics that define the future of media. Rita is passing her ecommerce skills on to a cohort of students of WPP’s senior most leaders.
