In 2020 we launched our annual DE&I magazine to share our overarching strategy, plans, and progress, supplemented by a quarterly newsletter for updates on initiatives that anyone can participate in. OMD voices is our people’s opportunity to share their life stories covering all areas of DE&I via our website and on social media to promote more about our culture. We also established our internal resources portal “the RED Gateway” as a one-stop source for resources, information, advice, and ERG community's progress. Building a positive working environment through wellbeing is also a top priority that includes mental health support alongside our EAP, doubling our number of Mental Health first aiders, improved our family-friendly practices for paternity, maternity, and shared parental leave. On talent acquisition, we are diversifying the talent pool by partnering Evenbreak, Vercida, and MyGwork and are piloting Applied, a platform designed to help remove bias, focus on competency-based questions, anonymise CVs improving the candidate experience alongside providing management training. Our comprehensive training programme blends internal and external providers such as Inclusive Employers delivering aspirational programmes, talks, workshops on DE&I to challenge, educate and inspire. It’s working! Our multicultural joiners are up 370% YoY, our mean GPG has reduced from 35% to 18.5% (2017 to 2021) and we’ve increased women in the upper quartile from 34% to 43%.
