Nicola Wood is an award winning Creative Director here at Ogilvy.

This year, Nicola has produced some of the most boundary pushing creative work that our industry has seen, none more so than our work for Relate. ‘Let’s Talk the Joy of Later Life Sex’ was born out of the statistic that an incredible 80% of society flinch from the idea of talking about sex, let alone sex in later life. Working with renowned photographer, Rankin, the campaign celebrated intimate moments between different couples, and interviewed people still very much enjoying later life sex. Within a week of the campaign going live, Relate saw a 50% uptake in sex therapy bookings, a 123% increase in traffic to their website, and a 30% increase in website users, culminating in an incredible two Silvers and one Bronze awards at Cannes. Nicola was also responsible for delivering the recent “New York. We’re back.” campaign for British Airways, reimagining the iconic ‘lunch atop a skyscraper’ image, which has been universally celebrated for the conception and craft in delivery. Nicola is a hugely passionate advocate for championing the next generation of upcoming creative talent. She co-runs the Ogilvy Creative Mentor scheme, giving rising creatives the chance to gain valuable experience in our industry. Nicola also regularly mentors at the Brixton Finishing School and at WPP’s New Blood Academy, an annual programme of mentoring young people who are looking to break into our industry.
