During her six years at MediaCom, Katy co-ordinated 66 pitches with a 63% conversion rate, securing 32 new clients including Missguided, which MediaCom still works with today. In her current role as managing director of Social Chain UK - a position she secured after just six months at the company - her leadership has seen the business enjoy unprecedented growth. In just two years at its head, Social Chain UK has grown by 240%.
Also in that time, Katy has grown her public following to an audience of 23,000 on social media and through her own podcast. This unique platform has enabled her to start crucial conversations about the reality of women in leadership roles and hold the door open for the next generation. Her dedication to breaking barriers has seen her mentor and advise young people - personally and professionally - from all backgrounds; she recently ran a mentorship competition which received over 300 entrants.
Katy is spearheading change inside the business and out; she has introduced numerous policies for D&I and wellbeing support and guided several female Social Chain employees to become heads of departments. Externally, her ongoing work with charities like Prevent Breast Cancer, Smart Works and InnovateHer has seen her donate skills to university students, prepare disadvantaged women for interviews and support young women seeking roles in tech.
Her efforts have previously seen her listed as an IPA Women of Tomorrow finalist in 2016 and more recently a nominee for the women’s role model list of 2019.
